What is the prescription assistance program?
We know that getting the medications you need can sometimes be difficult and costly. Having to choose between buying your medications or putting food on the table is something that nobody should be put through. That’s why Health Services of North Texas (HSNT) in Denton, Wylie, and Plano, TX offers a patient prescription assistance program (PAP), which gives our patients access to the medications they need to get to their very best healthy. The Prescription Assistance Program provides access to the medications our uninsured and underinsured patients need to adhere to their treatment plans and control chronic illness. With this program, that choice between food, bills, and/or medicine is no longer a problem.

"HSNT is a great place. Everyone has been so helpful and kind. The sliding scale allows me to have good quality healthcare that I can afford."- T.S. / Facebook / May 13, 2021
"I don't recommend. Brittney has made me feel invalidated since I started going there, so I skipped my apts with her. Some of the rooms are dirty, and alot if the staff is rude. My first time there the ladies at the front desk were speaking amongst eachother in Spanish instead of handing me my paperwork. Often time the on call nurses are extremely rude. I just spoke to one about a concern of mine, and she told me "I was just about to go to bed, and you called." That's extremely unprofessional. The only person there that was worth seeing was Dr. Assis, I'm not sure how to spell his name. Save yourself the time here."- K.W. / Google / May 10, 2021

If I would recommend to my relatives (Original) Todo el personal con el que tube contacto fue amable conmigo y contestaron a cualquier duda que tube me senti muy comoda en mi primera cita.. Si recomendaría a mis familiares"- F.C. / Google / May 08, 2021
"Amazing staff. All the nurses are really nice and very professional. One of the nurses who drew blood from my two-year-old did it so fast that by the time he noticed she was already done. And the doctor I saw was very knowledgeable and able to answer questions that had stumped other doctors that I had been to."- P.M. / Google / May 08, 2021
Do I qualify for the Prescription Assistance Program?
You could qualify for the patient prescription assistance program if you have a lower income, lack insurance, or are underinsured. To find out if you meet our guidelines for this helpful service, reach out to our team in Plano, Denton, or Wylie, TX. This program is not a government program or an insurance plan but rather a service our agency provides to help our patients with their medical needs.
How PAP helps our patients
Most medications are provided by the pharmaceutical companies who manufacture the medicine. Since this plan is an in-office program rather than a government-controlled or insurance-based initiative, we have a more hands-on way to help our patients obtain the prescriptions they need.
When asked about the PAP, one of our patients, Michelle Brown, had this to say: “As far as my insulin goes, [HSNT has] done a great job. Lyrica is so expensive, I just couldn’t believe it. So, I really do owe a lot to HSNT. There have been times when I came up here and I couldn’t afford it, and they said, 'Don’t worry about it.' So, I definitely believe in Health Services – because they’re saving my life.”
AFFORDABLE PRESCRIPTIONS FOR YOUR WHOLE FAMILY
Each and every person should be able to afford the medications they need to live a healthy life. We are honored to serve our community by offering this prescription assistance program to individuals who are uninsured, underinsured, or have lower income. With our patient prescription assistance program, we will see to it that you get the medications you need. Talk to your HSNT medical team about prescriptions that you cannot afford or are too expensive for you and ask about enrolling in the Prescription Assistance Program.
